Myself Lost

Red Benjamin sets out on a long-dreamed-of travel experience that promises adventure, freedom, and reinvention. Instead, one wrong turn pulls this aged traveler into an international nightmare where curiosity becomes a liability and knowledge turns dangerous. Arriving in India, Red is abruptly wrongfully detained, jailed, and handed over to corrupt officials who see him not as a tourist, but as a threat.

Dragged from the chaos of airport holding cells into slums, remote roads, and the shadows of the rural Indian subcontinent, Red is sold into human trafficking by a ruthless trafficker. Forced to survive through instinct alone, he is pushed into a brutal test of survival, deception, and endurance. From a fleeting hidden refuge to desperate acts of evading capture, each choice tightens the net around a man losing his sense of self.

As the journey moves north toward the Himalayan foothills, Red must confront betrayal, a corrupt government, and the erosion of his own identity. What began as escape becomes a fight against lost identity, where only courage and hard-won compassion offer hope.

Blending sharp observation with dark Myself lost by author Larry Bone, Myself Lost is a gripping escape story and a tense redemption thriller that asks how far a man can be pushed before he disappears completely — and what it truly takes to survive.
